List Bulk Export allows you to pull documents, pictures, and list data from SharePoint to your file system. Large volumes of files that need to be accessed offline can be exported quickly and easily. Libraries can be exported with or without versions, and the set of files to export can be filtered by view based criteria. List Bulk Export runs in the background on your client machine, so you can continue to work while it's processing. Better yet, you can schedule it to run at a time that's convenient for you, and a convenient schedule setting automatically extracts only the documents that have been modified since the last export.
Now available for SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010!
The List Bulk Export application can be run on a client machine with no server installation required. Once installed, you must connect to the SharePoint server that you want to export files from, select an export source, select a View and provide a file system destination path. Checkbox options allow you to specify how you want to handle file overwrite conditions and whether to export all versions (if exporting a Document Library with versioning). Other options can be selected allowing you to create an accompanying Index File (with path, date, and filename information), include documents in sub-folders in the export, and whether to recreate the Library's folder structure on the file system. You can also choose to save the import configuration to reload it again manually or use it to schedule regular exports of documents in an unattended mode -- this includes the option to only export files that have been modified since the last export. There is a log file that can be viewed from the application, as well, to check on processing and to help resolve any export errors.
