As you can see, Bamboo Ultimate provides you with an amazing number of products. It is dubbed the Ultimate Suite because it contains a combination of all the products offered in both the Bamboo Project Management and Bamboo Administration Suites - plus any additional Web Parts offered by Bamboo (see *'s above).   This new product will take SharePoint form validation to the next level. Quickly enable a more powerful SharePoint form capability through the use of conditional range checking and input format validation. Perform validation checks such as verifying specified End Dates are later than Start Date values, or that values like zip codes and phone numbers, or similar format dependent fields, are entered to match predefined formats.

• SharePoint Custom Column Pack - Bamboo Advanced Calculated Column

  Expanding upon the capabilities of SharePoint calculated columns, this new addition to the Bamboo Custom Column Pack will allow for the definition of advanced formulas for calculated values, and data values to be reformatted for standardized display.

The Ultimate Suite is purposefully unstructured because we know that you want to enhance what you already have to get the functionality that you really need, not overhaul everything with a single predefined product. Use some products now, and as you encounter road blocks with SharePoint, incorporate more over time. Don't know where to start? Here are some ideas:

Scheduling. Separate teams maintain their own group calendars, which works well for team collaboration, but does not help project managers manage tasks across teams very easily. To view an overview of all team events for the day, or the plans for the month, multiple calendars can be aggregated using List Rollup and displayed in a color-coded view using Calendar Plus. Mini-Calendar links to the same list to offer a quick overview of the month's activities on a top site without taking up valuable screen real estate. Use Mini-Calendar as a tool to filter Calendar Plus data or other SharePoint lists. To organize group calendars, Team Calendar works with Exchange to arrange and update meetings and appointments for your team members through an Outlook style resource scheduling assistant. To track when your project team members are in or out of the office, the SharePoint In/Out Schedule Board gives you a central, online area to track out of office and location status.

Communication. Miscommunication results in wasted time and resources, so it's key to ensure that everybody on a task is aware of its status. E-mail updates to groups with Group Email. Clarify and enhance data in lists by giving columns added functionality, such as additional security, progress bars, or enhanced text editing with quick image insertion without having to populate a Pictures library first, with the SharePoint Custom Column Pack. Use Alert Plus to send customized, conditional e-mail alerts and reminders to users or a group of users. Centralize Alert management across sites and site collections with Alerts Administrator, and help your users become more efficient at maintaining their own alerts by using My Alerts Organizer.

Efficiency. In many situations, end users have the information but not the power to complete tasks necessary to access their work. What results is menial work for the IT Administrator, and a dependent end user waiting on the outcome. Both sides have better things to do. If you are using WSS, users can be given the power to edit their own profile with User Profile Plus. With Password Change, Password Expiration, and Password Reset, users are notified when their password is going to expire, led to a page where they can change their password, and if they're already locked out, they can go to an anonymous access SharePoint WSS site to reset it themselves.

With SharePoint User Registration Accelerator, users can register themselves for a SharePoint user account, and with Site Creation Plus administrators can standardize site creation while streamlining the process for users. Help users help themselves, while keeping things in control by only giving them limited rights and abilities.

Assessment. Visualizing the big picture is just as important as focusing on the details for both clear communication and interpretation. With Chart Plus, you can graphically display data in bar, line, and area charts using SharePoint, legacy or rolled up list data. A Gantt chart from Calendar Plus makes it easy to see whether a project is on time or not. And the SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard allows you to easily view the health and risk levels of your entire project portfolio at a glance.

Analysis. Having data is one thing, but being able to efficiently use it and interpret it is quite another. Bringing lists from across site collections together with List Rollup or creating a lookup column for lists in a parent-child relationship with Cross List allows you to view related data in one place instead of navigating to multiple sites and views. Data-Viewer allows you to dynamically group, filter and sort items in your entire list, and when you're done, print just the list and not your browser with List Print for a hard copy you can actually present.

Delegate. Often, when user administration requests are only handled by an IT Administrator or group, time and resources are wasted. Grant managers authorization and expand their domain by giving them the power to manage their users. Those designated by an IT Administrator can create other accounts in both SharePoint and AD with User Account Setup. Using User Manager for Sites, designated users can also view users, change passwords, create and manage users and groups, and edit AD sprofiles, all within a predefined OU, using a simple, centralized user interface.
