The Wiki Publisher is a feature that integrates into the native SharePoint menus
of any Wiki Page Library. The product's import and export options can be controlled
at the site level on an as-needed based through standard SharePoint administration.
It is extremely easy to configure. The only setting required for each Wiki Page
Library is to specify the SharePoint library where images embedded into the wikis
should be stored.
To import a Microsoft® Word document into a wiki, just select the "Import
from MS Word Document" menu item located under the New drop-down menu. Simply
browse and choose the local file to import and a new wiki is created from the selected
document. Images are automatically uploaded into a picture library and then embedded
into the wiki itself. This allows you to create a new wiki based on existing MS
Word content in seconds.
Publishing wiki content from Wiki Publisher's export feature is just as easy as
importing. Single wiki pages can be exported from the item context menu or from
a tool bar on the wiki page itself. For the ultimate in control over the format
of your exported wikis, select the "Export Multiple Wiki Pages to PDF" option
from the library Actions drop-down menu. This option will present you with a dialog
containing options to customize the output generated by Wiki Publisher. Choose which
wikis to include in the export, how they are ordered, and automatically insert page
numbers and other useful formatting elements in the published document.
