The SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard provides you with a simple view of the progress, health, and risk level of a single project or the projects in your entire project portfolio. Automatically show your existing individual project summary data from multiple sites in the Project Portfolio Dashboard. Project Managers can quickly communicate project status, cost, and budget information for each project using any combination of configurable status indicator lists, issue meters, bar or pie charts, and Gantt view widgets.

Project Managers can also display project charters and executive summaries side by side with the charts and graphs, providing a single, centralized location for stakeholders and management to get project descriptions and status. All of the graphs, charts and other summary information needed to track critical projects is automatically compiled and displayed in a customizable dashboard layout.

Configure a dashboard for a single project or an entire project portfolio.
Present a dashboard based on comprehensive project management data points for measuring project performance.
Include a Project Charter and/or Executive Summary in the dashboard for reference by stakeholders and upper management.
Customize up to 9 different widgets that allow you to communicate data through Gantt, pie and bar charts as well as red/yellow/green indicators and an issue meter. Each widget is highly configurable with sorting, grouping, filtering, axis label designations, widget sizing and paging settings available where applicable.
Customize the layout of the widgets within the Web Part by editing the source HTML directly.

Types of Active Projects	Pie Chart	Displays the percentage of projects in each category. You can custom categorize your projects to communicate which department has primary responsibility (i.e. Product, Custom, Marketing, etc.)
Phases of Active Projects	Pie Chart	Shows the percentage of projects in each phase of the Project lifecycle (i.e. Initiating, Planning, Execution, Controlling, or Closing).
