What Does It Do?

The Job Requisition and Interview Management (JRIM) Template Extension allows you to get the most out of Microsoft's free template by enhancing its features with Bamboo Solutions Web Parts. The Job Requisition and Interview Management Template from Microsoft allows you to streamline the process of filling job openings within a company. As a recruiter, you can manage requisitions, capture referrals and resumes and coordinate interviews. Interviewers can input their candidate feedback centrally and track hire/no hire recommendations. This template also provides a dashboard view of unassigned requisitions and candidates as well as the status of all requisitions and a quick list of any scheduled interviews for the logged in user.

With the addition of the Bamboo Solutions Web Parts, you can:

• Quickly find requisitions or candidates using the Simple Search Web Part.
• Communicate important events to end users using the List Rotator Web Part.
• Set up and manage interview and open requisition alerts from one location, including customizing alert notifications and frequency of the notifications using the Alert Plus Web Part.
• Show the location of open job requisitions on a graphical map using the Virtual Map View Web Part.
• Import large volumes of documents and data into SharePoint to start using your template as soon as possible with List Bulk Import.

How Does It Work?

To get started with the Job Requisition and Interview Management Template, you must download the template from Microsoft and install it according to their instructions. Once installed, you can install all of the Bamboo Solutions Web Parts from the Setup program included in the downloaded ZIP file. The Web Parts included in this template extension are:

• List Rotator
• Alert Plus
• Virtual Map View
• List Search (Simple Search)
• List Bulk Import

After creating a site based on the Job Requisition and Interview Management Template, you can easily integrate the Bamboo Solutions Web Parts as suggested in the Application Notes provided with this product. After integrating our Web Parts, you can do the following:

• View scrolling announcements on the home page with the Bamboo List Rotator Web Part.

• View where open job requisitions are located on a map with the Bamboo Virtual Map View Web Part.

• Search for a candidate or requisition using Bamboo Simple Search Web Part. Enter as much or as little as you want for search criteria or search all fields for a key word to locate requisitions or candidates.

• Setup and manage alerts for all lists used in the template using the Bamboo Alert Plus Web Part. Send a reminder email to inform interviewers that they have an interview scheduled the next day, inform Approvers that they have a requisition to review and approve, notify recruiters when their assigned requisitions have been modified, notify interviewers when interviews have been scheduled, and inform hiring managers when their requisition has been approved.
