Aggregate information about events scheduled across all your grants and display them in a calendar so you can easily see what's happening this week or this month.
Aggregate other information such as issues, tasks, and contacts so you can see everything in one easy-to-read view.
Access a sub-site for each grant, where you store grant-specific information such as contacts, documents, tasks, issues, events, and budget/expense information for that specific grant project. The information stored in the sub-site is displayed in the management views described above. Security can be applied to the grant project site, so only the appropriate team members can add or edit information there.
Push information out of the system via email alerts so your team is reminded when important tasks are due, BEFORE the due date! It will be hard to forget to submit an expense report if you are using the Grant Management for Grantees Solution Accelerator.
Create a sub-site for grant opportunities as you prepare the application to serve as a central, secure repository for your team. When the grant is awarded, your sub-site already exists and is ready to use.

The Top Level Site provides a management view of all your grants and also pending grant opportunities.

Create and manage task list for grant specialists. Email alerts notify your team when tasks are coming due. Users with overdue tasks receive email notifications every day.

How Does It Work?
The Grant Management for Grantees Solution Accelerator enables staff members from the grant awarding organization to access the Top Level Site as well as all of the Grant Project Sites (according to your security policy) to access any information they need. Staff Members use the Top Level Site to view aggregated information about tasks, events, contacts, issues and budget information across grants. Staff Members can also set up custom alerts to automatically remind a grantee or a group of grantees that a task is coming due. Grantees access only the Grant Project Site where they have security permissions for access. Grantees can manage contacts, documents, issues, budget information, events, and tasks. The Grant Management Solution Accelerator is a combination of base functionality in SharePoint as well as specialized Web Parts designed specifically for automating the grant management process.
Why Did We Build It?
Grantee organizations receive funding to run their organization from many different sources. Whether the sources are contracts or grants, there are reporting requirements placed on the grantee from each funding source. Usually each funding source has slightly different requirements. Successfully meeting the reporting requirements is a very important prerequisite for maintaining the steady flow of funding and for ensuring follow-on funding from each funding organization. This process is typically a very manual process that takes long hours to maintain and track. After hosting grant management systems for grant-making organizations for more than three years, we have learned that it is essential that grant information is stored and maintained in a centralized portal for fast access to reporting information as well as tracking budget status.
