  • Dynamically filter charts using Runtime Filter View.

  • Provides more customization options without the need to modify the custom stylesheet (css) chart.

  • Provides the ability to change the orientation of the chart.

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

  • Chart Plus does not honor regional settings such as displaying x,x as x,x and not xx.
  • The legend overlaps the chart.
  • The Chart Plus Web Part does not support variables in the javascript that contain a hyphen.
  • When one or more of the data points has no data, the line chart plots it as 0 (Null).
  • Internal bug fixes to support SA12 Project Management Central.

Initial Release on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Foundation 2010 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010
This build is for an environment on SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010 that does not already have Bamboo products for SharePoint 2007 installed. Currently we do not support an environment where SharePoint 2007 is in-place upgraded to SharePoint 2010.

Known Issues and Limitations
R4.0.242

New Limitations:

  • Legend value font does not correspond to the selection in the display settings for servers running German operating system.
R4.0.214

New Known Issues:

  • When using SQL or BCS as a data source, preview does not display the chart after editing the X-axis settings.
  • On multiple server WFE farms, excel export files do not display in the Internet Explorer Download Manager popup.
  • When using BCS or SQL as a data source, the Y-Axis data label displays excessive decimal places when the data type is “General” and the y-axis is aggregated with Sum or Average.
  • Count aggregation counts the null/empty values instead of excluding them.
  • Data Labels may overlap when configuring more than one series on a chart.
  • Display Unit indicators are not displayed next to the value axis (e.g. x1000).
  • Web Part Connections are not supported in the Chart Plus 4.0.
  • After upgrading to R4.0, the old Web Part Gallery name (“Bamboo Chart Plus Web Part”) is not replaced with the new name (“Bamboo Chart Plus”).

New Limitations:

  • Scatter chart quadrant line are not display in Internet Explorer 8 Document mode.
  • When using a SQL and BCS as a data source with a y-series of all zero values, chart displays SQL statement error.
  • Chart Plus 4.0 only supports List Rollup 7.0 and higher.
  • 100% Stacked Column chart type cuts off data labels at top. (Workaround: Go to the Advanced Display settings and input 20px for the “Margins > Top” value)
  • Exporting options (Print, Excel, PDF, SVG) are not supported on Internet Explorer 8 browsers.
  • May display an error when clicking Print in the export Actions Menu.
  • Text wrapping is unavailable for X-Axis title, Y-Axis title and Chart title. Very long text strings will be truncated.
  • Intelligent Labels options are not available in R4.0
  • Approximate Empty Values options are not available in R4.0
  • Hide Missing Values options are not available in R4.0.
  • Point charts are not available in R4.0.
  • CSS customizations are not supported in SharePoint 2010.
  • Sum_Percentage and Percentage operators are not available in R4.0.
  • Reducing the height or width of the web part below 500 pixels causes scrollbars to appear.

Known Issues:

  • When Web Part Connection is used for filtering, if "Send first row to connected Web Parts when page loads" in the Miscellaneous of the consumer Web Part's tool pane is not checked users will see the "No data to display..." error since the Data View sends empty value to the consumer of the connection. (Note: If this "Send first row to connected Web Parts when page loads" property is set TRUE (checked), the Web part will initiate (fire) its connection when the page containing the part is first loaded in the web browser. The Data View sends the data for the first row in the result set XML data to the Web Part that is the consumer of the connection. This property allows a Web Part page with connected Data Views to have a reasonable initial state then the page is opened in the web browser.)
  • Some labels are displayed in the wrong place when the orientation of the chart is changed from vertical to horizontal.
  • When using List Rollup version 5.0 as the data source, Chart Plus displays incorrect time data and still shows time with the "date" datatype only instead of "date and time".
  • When using a SQL data source, Chart Plus does not display the data in the correct order when "Enable grouping" is selected.

Limitations:

  • If the list containts more than 40 items, enable "Intelligent Label" results in the Web Part shows error: "Request Timed Out.". See RAD Chart - Request Timed Out Error discussion from Telerik for more information.
  • When Web Part Connection is used for filtering and the x-axis and y-axis are empty for one of the items, the "No Data to display..." error is displayed.
  • When connect with Excel Services, the original currency is not displayed, e.g. € is displayed as $.
  • When connect with Excel Services and the Date/Time column is selected from the worksheet to display, the Bar (Date/Time) option is not available as part of the Chart Type's drop down options.
