New Features:

  • Added the options to include wiki page name in the header and export date and/or page number in the footer of single page exports.
  • Wiki Publisher now packaged Bamboo Web License Manager Version 2.0.10.0.

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

  • When exporting multiple pages, the list of "Available Wiki Pages" is sorted by ID not alphabetically.
  • Content alignment is not correct, causing content to be chopped off on the right side of the PDF.
  • Anonymous users prompted for login when exporting to PDF.
  • Resource file "Bamboo.SPWiki.en-US.resx" missing from the solution causing the error "Failed to read resource file..." to be listed in the SharePoint logs.
  • Unable to configure the Picture Library for importing Word documents using Wiki Publisher on sites using French language pack.

Resolved Customer-Reported Bugs and Known Issues/Limitations:

  • When importing Microsoft Word file to a Wiki page, Paragraph indentials is formatted incorrectly causing the text to appear in the left navigation bar of the SharePoint site.
  • Each time Wiki Publisher is accessed, the following error is logged in the server Application event logs: "Load control template file /_controltemplates/Bamboo.WikiExportToDocument.ascx failed: The resource object with key 'siteactions_viewpagehistory' was not found."
  • When exporting wiki pages with the "Export Multiple Wiki Pages to PDF" feature, everytime a new Wiki page is moved from "Available Wiki Pages" to "Selected Wiki Pages", the order of the pages is reversed in the "Selected Wiki Pages" list box.

  • If the Wiki Page contains links with embedded URL (using <a href> tag), Wiki Publisher exposes the entire tag in the export. Wiki Publisher now preserves the text but the URL is lost during export.

Known Issues & Limitations

Known Issues:

Limitations:

  • Cannot export more than 20 wiki pages at in the same export job with Wiki Publisher.
  • Formatting limitations include: (see Sync Fusion site for more details)

    Paragraph and Character formatting:

    • Borders around paragraphs.
    • Full Justification.

    Multi-Column Texts:

    • The output may look different in case full-justification formatting is applied on to the columns.
    • Bulleted, numbered and multi-level lists.
    • In some case, the image bullets which is set on document may be replaced by other symbols in the generated document.

    Images

    • Images placed inside a shape will not be preserved in the generated PDF document.

    Tables:

    • Tables making use of patterns and 3D borders will not be retained in the output document.
    • Absolutely positioned tables are not supported.

    URLs:

    • Wiki Publisher maintains the text, however the URL is removed during export.

    OLEObject:

    • The OLEObjects are partially supported, (i.e) image which represents a particular document will be available in the generated PDF document. But the object associated with the object will not be converted into the generated document.

    Unsupported Elements:
    The following are the list of un-supported elements, which will be supported in the future releases and will not be preserved in the generated PDF document.

    • Shapes and auto shapes.
    • Comments.
    • Hyperlinks.
    • Bookmarks.
    • Foot note and end note.
    • Dynamic Fields.
    • Charts.
    • Table of Contents.

    Pagination:
    Wiki Publisher component's Essential DocIO makes sensible decision while lay outing the text, and its supported elements while generating the PDF documents. However, we cannot guarantee pagination with all the documents.

Importing Word Documents - New Limitation in release (1.0.66)

  • Images displayed in the wrong position. For example if the image is displayed in the right corner within the Word document but after importing into a wiki page, it is in the left corner.
  • If the document contains multiple images, the order of the images are reversed when imported into a wiki page.
  • If the document contains a table and the content of the table includes other formatting, such as: Lists (number/bullet), Bold/Italic/Underline font style or heading style, resulting wiki format is incorrect.

Tables - New Limitation in release (1.0.66)

  • In some cases, if a table width is beyond a certain length, content can be cut off.
