APPLIES TO:
  • WSS 2.0 and SPS 2003
  • WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007
Upgrading Chart Plus from release 1.1.14 or earlier :

When upgrading Chart Plus from release 1.1.14 or earlier (using WSS 2.0/SPS 2003 or MOSS 2007/WSS 3.0), you must manually remove the Bamboo.Chart folder after uninstalling the Web Part and before installing the newer version. During installation, Chart Plus releases earlier than 1.1.14 create this file in the wpresources directory under each port the Web Part is installed on.

To determine which version you are uninstalling, open the Web Part tool pane, scroll down to the bottom and expand the About Web Part node. The File Version number is the Web Part version. If this number is 1.1.14, you must manually remove the Bamboo.Chart folder after uninstalling this Web Part.

Example :

If, for instance, you have installed Chart Plus on ports 80 and 443, then you must :

  1. uninstall the old version of Chart Plus
  2. remove Bamboo.Chart from the port 80 directory
  3. remove Bamboo.Chart from the port 443 directory
  4. install the new version of Chart Plus

This is a one time procedure, and will not have to be repeated for future upgrades.

The file can be found at this directory -- replace PORTNUMBER with the port you are uninstalling from.

<DRIVE:>\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\PORTNUMBER\wpresources\Bamboo.Chart

Please see the Release Notes for more information.
