  • Times and time formats be not appear correctly with certain combinations of language packs, default languages, alternate languages, locales, and time zones.
  • "CreateListLocation:: : String was not recognized as a valid DateTime." may be displayed with certain combinations of language packs, default languages, alternate languages, locales, and time zones.
  • "btnAddSearchResults_Click:: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." may be displayed when attempting to add a location when using certain combinations of language packs, default languages, alternate languages, locales, and time zones.

New Features:

  • Added the following new weather provider choices. Get API keys directly from feed providers to ensure scalability and enter into SLAs:
    • Weather Underground.
    • OpenWeatherMap.
    • Forecast.io.
  • Add or subtract hours automatically per location from feed data if desired/needed.
  • Cache weather data by location for a specified time to reduce calls and increase speed.
  • Adjust border color for locations.
  • Use classic weather icons, or pull stylized icons from provider feeds.

    Resolved Issues:

    • Fixed intermittent issues with incorrect times being displayed after the start of Daylight Savings Time. Removed a provider feed that was occasionally causing the issue.

    Known Issues & Limitations
    R3.0.36.2013

    • Extended Forecast function disabled (see note below)
    • NOTE: Changes made by our weather data provider, along with other issues related to data fetching, require that we make significant updates to the product to ensure that it functions reliably. While we are working on these improvements, we are temporarily disabling the extended forecast to allow basic weather information to display properly. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause as we work to improve World Clock & Weather’s functionality as quickly as possible.

    Limitations:

    • Firefox or Opera Browser : Unable to display rain special effect. Unable to use slider control in the tool part to change special effect density.
    • Opera Browser: Cannot show Analog/Digital Clock when using Silverlight option.
