By default, the Project Department column in the Project Health List contains the following choices:

  • Accounting
  • Administration
  • Engineering
  • Facilities
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Support

If the choices do not match the departments in your organization, you can change the choices. For example, you can add IT to the menu.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1.    From the top site in the site collection, go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Site Collection Features. Activate Project Central Content Types.



2.    Navigate to Site Actions > Site Settings > Galleries and click Site columns.


Under Site Column Gallery > Custom Columns, click Project Department to edit it.


3.    Under Additional Column Settings, add IT to the Type each choice on a separate line section and click OK. The project department site column is now updated with the additional choice.


4.    Now the choices in the Project Health List for the portfolio site, department site and the project site contain IT as one of the selections in the menu.
