  • An unexpected error has been encountered in this Web Part.  Type: Bamboo.WebParts.ListCollateWebPart, Error: One of the properties of the Web Part has an incorrect format. Windows SharePoint Services cannot deserialize the Web Part.
  • Document link problem with Finnish language pack. 
  • List Content TYpes and Type Icon Producing Error.
  • List Rollup Datasource causes error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" in Calendar Plus web part.
  • Sorting a Lookup field in the List Rollup.

This build is for an environment on SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010 that does not already have Bamboo products installed. Currently we do not support in-place upgrades.

Known Issues & Limitations
R7.0.178New Limitations:
  • The grid view filter menu, when open, does not scroll along with other elements on the page.
R7.0.130New Known Issues:
  • No data is displayed when 2000+ sites are rolled up using BAS schema.
  • Installation rolls back when installed on application server. Workaround: remove and install again.
R7.0.98New Known Issues:
  • In some rare cases, adding two Grid View Web Parts to a page and clicking "Show Settings" on the second Grid View may result in an JavaScript error message, followed by a possible page error. Workaround: If this happens, add "?contents=1" to the end of the URL, just after ".aspx", then delete the second Web Part.
  • Additional fields added to a base Lookup Field cannot be used to sort or group results in the Grid View Web Part. Filtering is still possible for both the base Lookup Field and any additional fields appended to it.
  • Uninstalling the optional Application Server Add-In component from a Web Front End (WFE) removes components needed by the standard Web Part installation. Workaround: Re-install the required List Rollup Web Part component to replace any missing components.
  • The List Rollup Settings pages in Central Admin show errors after installing. Workaround: Some files are may not be deployed properly by SharePoint. Run the command "Install-SPApplicationContent" in the SharePoint Management Shell while in admin mode to deploy the missing content.
  • Bamboo KPI columns (HW41J) does not display values when used in the Grid View Web Part.
  • After creating a Bamboo Aggregation Service (BAS) Schema that includes the column “Edit (Linked to edit item)”, clicking on the "Preview Data" button results in the JavaScript “Syntax Error”.
  • If a Rollup includes the column "Title (linked to item with edit menu)" or "Title (linked to item)", editing the tool part settings for Schema Designer or Grid View Web Parts may result in the JavaScript error "CLVP is undefined".
  • Creating new schemas while using the Application Server mode may result in an error when clicking "Preview Data" in the List Rollup Schema Designer Web Part. Workaround: Reset IIS (only required once).

  • Cannot group by Assign To field in the List Rollup Grid View.
R6.0.72New Limitations:

  • Filtering on filename in a Library List requires the file extension when using the EQUAL TO operator. For example setting filename EQUAL TO "A" will not return "A.docx", but filetering on EQUAL TO "a.docx" will.

Limitations:

This product can be migrated from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. However, there are limitations to the migration procedure. Read KB.12627: How to Migrate Bamboo Products from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 for more information.

List Rollup - Classic Edition: Note: List Rollup Classic Edition Web Part is now retired, please use List Rollup Schema Designer with Bamboo Aggregation Service as an alternative.

  • To sort items across lists, users must modify the Web Part XML.
  • List Rollup Data Views that take several seconds to load data result in the following error: "Unable to display this Web Part." This limitation was introduced by changes to XSLT transformation timeouts in the SharePoint June and August 2011 Cumulative Updates. To avoid timeout issues, create your data rollup using List Rollup Schema Designer. See KB.12802 for more information.
  • When a rollup is created from List Rollup - Classic Edition Web Part, a Data Form Web Part is created to display the aggregated data. When the Data Form Web Part is created, the option "Enable Asynchronous Load" is available as an option in the Web Part Properties. SharePoint Data Forms does not support this option, and when a new Data Form Web Part is created using SharePoint Designer, this option is disabled. If user enables the "Enable Asynchronous Load" option in the resulting List Rollup Data Form Web Part, the "Next and "Previous" navigation controls do not function.

The following limitations exist for Bamboo custom columns:

  • Lookup Selector Column: Data form displays raw values: 2;#Civic;#4;#Pathfinder;#1;#Rav4
  • Column Level Security: Unable to display.
  • Visual Indicator Column: Shows text only.
  • Validator Column: Does not display correctly.

List Rollup Schema Designer:

  • Does not support Bamboo Column Level Security.
  • Does not support Bamboo Video Library.
  • Schema Description has a 1072 character limit. If this limit is exceeded, the following error is displayed when clicking the Schema Settings button: "The webpage cannot be found". 
  • In Filter section - Unable to filter data set based on columns of type Calculated, formatted as Date and Time.
  • No support for sites with Site Publishing feature enabled.

List Rollup Grid View Web Part:

  • If the scope of recurring events is very large, List Rollup Grid View Web Part loads very slowly.
  • Sort incorrectly after grouping on columns of type Calculated, Curreny or Date and Time.
  • No support for Sorting/Grouping of:
    • Lookup columns that allow multiple values
    • Person or Group columns that allow multiple selections
    • Multiple lines of text columns
    • Notes columns
    • SharePoint Metadata columns with Multiple Selection enabled
  • No support for Filtering of:
    • List Name
    • Site Name
    • Hyperlink columns
    • Multiple lines of text columns
    • Notes columns

Other limitations for List Rollup Schema Designer and List Rollup Grid View Web Part:

  • Cannot preview schema results if the schema includes Lookup columns configured to show additional fields.
  • Due to lists of type Custom List do not have the same list schema, users will experience significant performance issues if Auto-Discovery is based on Custom List type. It is not recommended to auto-discover with this list type.
  • Users receive script error when they view a schema using Sharepoint Aggregation Service for a library that is configurated to allow management of content types.

Known Issues:

List Rollup Schema Designer:

  • Cannot open files by clicking the "Type" icon when aggregating Bamboo SharePoint File Share Libraries.
  • Anonymous users and users with the Read permission level see the following error message when attempting to view a Discussion Board list rollup in List Rollup Grid View Web Part: "BindDataForControl :::::::::: : Access is denied"
  • Does not support sorting items across lists.
  • When modifying the schema "Timesheet Tasks Rollup" in the Bamboo Time Tracking and Management application, user will initially receive the error ""GetOldColumn: Column 'CostEnterCode' does not exist.[...]". To resolve, click "Create/Update Schema and then reopen the schema in List Rollup Schema Designer.
  • List Rollup Grid View Web Part displays the pound "#" sign for columns of type Lookup with Multiple Selection enabled.
