Upgrade Policy for PM Central

The following customers are eligible to upgrade to PM Central R3.0 or newer at no cost:

  • Customers with an active Premium Support contract for PM Central.

  • Customers who purchased PM Central for SharePoint 2010 on or after September 30, 2011 (30 days prior to the 3.0 release date).

  • Customers who purchased PM Central for SharePoint 2007 on or after November 22, 2011 (30 days prior to the 3.0 release date).

Customers who purchased the Project Management Suite are also eligible to upgrade at no cost. Please follow the steps below to download PM Central R3.0 or newer for PM Suite.

Other existing PM Central customers are eligible to upgrade to PM Central R3.0 or newer for only $2995 per server, more than 30% off the regular list price of $9995.

Note: Premium Support contracts are purchased in one-year increments starting from the date of original license purchase. For example, if the original license was purchased on May 11, 2010, and Premium Support was purchased at the same time, the Premium Support contract is valid until May 11, 2011. After that date, customers must purchase a new support contract to retain the benefits of Premium Support.

To receive either your free license key or a discounted rate for PM Central, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to My Bamboo (http://store.bamboosolutions.com) and click on My Bamboo. Log in with the Bamboo Solutions account that was used to purchase the original PM Central license.

  2. After logging into My Bamboo, scroll down and click Product Upgrades under My Orders.

  3. The Product Upgrades page displays the Bamboo products eligible for upgrade.
    • Upgrade Version lists the latest version of the product that you can upgrade to.
    • Number of Free Upgrade Licenses is the number of upgrade licenses for that version available to you at no cost. 
    • Number of Discounted Upgrade Licenses is the number of licenses you may purchase at a discounted rate. Discounted licenses are available if you purchased a previous version of the product but do not qualify for a free upgrade.

  4. Select the desired number of licenses to upgrade and click the Add to Cart button. Select a SharePoint version for your upgrade licenses. You will be redirected to the Bamboo Storefront shopping cart with the correct discount automatically applied.
  5. Check out through the Bamboo Storefront. Upon completion of your order, you will receive a new set of license keys for PM Central. For instructions to activate your new license keys, see Licensing and Activation in the PM Central online documentation.

PM Suite customers can upgrade to PM Central R3.0 or newer by following these steps:

  1. Log in to My Bamboo (http://store.bamboosolutions.com) and click on My Bamboo. Log in with the Bamboo Solutions account that was used to purchase the original PM Suite license.
  2. After logging into My Bamboo, scroll down and click Toolkits, Suites, Libraries under My Orders.
  3. In the Product Licenses section, click on the Project Management Suite product name to load the list of products included in the suite.
  4. In the Individual Product Installation Packages section, click the Download icon () next to the Project Management Central item to download the latest version.
