What's the difference between Helper Web Parts, Business Components and Solutions Accelerators?
Solutions Accelerators provide developers with a jump-start on their portal. It enables developers to fast track their development schedule by including the bulk of capabilities required in a fully functional solution. All that is required is end user customization. These tools, the first of which is scheduled for release in May 2006, include the Drawing Management Accelerator. It allows the developer to quickly create a repository to manage AutoCAD drawings, including features for project and task management, work order process and workflow management.
Does a user manual come with the download component?
Each of our products comes with an Application Note that provides installation instructions, user guide and sample application use cases. We also provide a detailed FAQ document with further information on how to install/use the product.
Do your web parts work with SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services?
Our web parts work with both SPS and WSS unless specifically noted otherwise.
Do you offer a beta program for "Coming Soon!" components?
We will occasionally run a beta program for our components, please visit our Knowledge Base for new product announcements and beta program registration.
How do I get notification when the "Coming Soon" components are available?
Add the product to your alert list, and we will email you when the product is available.
Will the existing web part continue to be supported in the next SharePoint version? Do I have to pay extra to get upgrade?
Yes. Most of our web parts will be upgraded to support the next release of SharePoint. The only exception is when we deem a particular web part is obsolete based on the new SharePoint platform feature set. Any upgrades to maintain forward compatibility will be available without extra charge. You will only have to pay for the upgrade price when our new releases provide improvement on functionalities.
In general, most products are licensed based upon the number of virtual servers, physical server or server farm. Some products are sold based on user license. Please refer to each product’s description page for detailed licensing information for that product.

When I purchase a server license, can I use it on my testing and development servers?
Each server will require a separate license. For Business Components and Solution Accelerators, less expensive Development and Test server licenses might be available with purchase of a production server license.
What kinds of maintenance support do you offer?
Basic technical support and product upgrades are provided for free for 30 days from the date of purchase. Support is available via Email only. This provides the quickest and most efficient support for you. After 30 days, additional support is available at the rate of $90 per incident.
Extended Technical Support & Maintenance is also available. In this case, you will receive free support, maintenance releases and minor feature upgrades for the product you purchased for 1 year from the date of purchase. These contracts are typically priced at 20% of the product price. Premium Support plan covers all of these above plus all major releases. Please see additional information on this page.
Do I have to pay for updates as new versions of the product are released?
When you purchase our products, you receive bug fixes, maintenance and minor releases free of charge. Major releases (usually significant functionality added) requires the payment of an upgrade cost, typically set at 80% of the retail price. You can also purchase our Premium Technical Support & Maintenance to get all minor and major releases for one year. Please see additional information on this page.

What is the difference between minor and major releases?
A minor release contains bugs fixes and minor feature changes (For example, 1.0 to 1.1). Major releases include major functionalities and feature enhancements (e.g. 1.x to 2.0).
How do I download the trial software?
First, add the trial download into your shopping cart and proceed through the check out process. You will have to register and create an account in the storefront so that we can send you the download email. There is no payment, shipping charges, or taxes on the trial download.

Once you receive our email, you should be able to download and install the software within minutes.
How quickly is the software delivered?
As soon as you place your order you will immediately receive a confirmation message via e-mail, which will include a link to download the software, and a Product License Key that will "unlock" the software for full production use. You will be able to run the trial download for 30 days without the need for a license key.

You should be able to install and fully utilize the software within minutes of placing your order.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are pleased to accept the following credit cards for online purchases: Visa, MasterCard/EuroCard, and American Express. For direct purchases, we are also able to accept payments via certified check, money order or bank wire transfer. Purchase Orders are also accepted, and we will deliver the license key once payment is cleared. Please note that for international orders processed via Purchase Order, there will be an additional $30 fee.

What forms of currency do you accept?
All listed prices and payments are in U.S. dollars.
Is your product available through any distributors or resellers?
We do not currently have any agreements with third-party resellers or distributors. We have, on occasion, made our software available to certain larger resellers who have exclusive contracts for software provision negotiated with particular companies, so that they may provide it to these firms.

We may offer our products through select resellers in the future.
Help! My credit card is being declined when I try to place an order?
If you are having difficulties placing an online order, please contact us at sales@bamboosolutions.com. We will help you to complete your order. Please make sure to enter your correct billing address as this must be matched and validated by your bank.

In order for us to best serve you, please make a note of the exact error message and/or behavior you are experiencing, and any error messages or reference numbers displayed.
I've lost my Product License Key; what should I do?
You can retrieve your product License Key(s) at any time by logging in to your Bamboo Solutions User Account. Once you have logged in, simply select view your license keys.

If you are unable to login or otherwise retrieve your License Key(s), please contact support@bamboosolutions.com. Be sure to include as much of the original purchase information as possible, including the customer information (individual and company name, including e-mail address/domain), the product & level of license purchased, and the approximate purchase date. This information will allow us to more quickly track down your order and provide you with your Product License Key.
Is there a refund policy?
We do not provide refunds. Please take advantage of the fully-functional 15-day trial download version of the product for download and testing. We feel that this should allow you to fully test and familiarize yourself with the product before making a final purchase decision.

The only exception to this policy is in the case of fraud - where an order has been placed using a stolen credit card. If this is the case, please contact sales@bamboosolutions.comwith contact information for your credit card issuer, and once we confirm a case of fraud we will issue a full refund.
I am having problems receiving the download email.
The download email will be sent to you as soon your payment is cleared. Please make sure to add emails from sales@bamboosolutions.com to your no-spam list
Is there Source Code included with the License?
Our product is shipped without source code. The only exception is the client-side script provided with the Solution Accelerators.
