Welcome to the September edition of Bamboo e-news!
Temperatures may be cooling, but things are heating up in Las Vegas. It's called "Sin City", but for four days this October, Vegas will become "SharePoint Central".
5,000 participants have already registered for Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009, and, as a Gold Sponsor, Bamboo hopes to meet you there. Swing by Bamboo booth 315 and drop in on our session on Tuesday, October 20th where we will present, "The Future of SharePoint Project Management" with Dux Raymond Sy.
SharePoint File Share Library is on its way to its storefront debut. It will allow you to have complete access to your existing network file shares, while utilizing the SharePoint Document Libraries interface that users are comfortable with. You can break SharePoint's 50MB file size barrier by seamlessly viewing the documents in the Document Library from the shared drive. While this eliminates the need to import all of your documents into SharePoint, File Share Library can also assist you with a gradual or one-time file import at your discretion. Look for SharePoint File Share Library on our storefront soon.
In response to your feedback and enhancement requests, Task Master v1.5 was released at the end of August. Full of new features, it now provides the ability to track Work, Actual Work, and Remaining Work, and collapse and expand levels in the Task Summary. Task Master brings powerful, project management specific functionality to your SharePoint portal, enabling complex projects to be created, tracked, and updated with the click of a mouse. Best of all, if you already own Task Master, this upgrade is free.
Cheers,
Team Bamboo |
